The NYPD's Middle East and Turkic Society has launched efforts to help the areas impacted by the earthquakes in Türkiye. NYC Mayor Eric Adams and NY  Turkish Consul General Reyhan Ozgur visited a collection site in Queens and thanked the NYPD Officers for their contributions to earthquake victims.

"New York City is home to a vibrant Turkish community. We join them in solidarity as we mourn those lost to these devastating earthquakes and pray for the survivors." NYC Mayor said.

NYC Mayor Adams paid a visit to Turkish-American Mosque Center in Brooklyn last week and met the donors of the earthquake aid campaign.
